About Clutterbutter
Clutterbutter offers unique and overlooked wall art sourced from museum archives around the world. Each piece is hand-assembled with custom framing and matting that highlights the artist’s original palette and point of view.
This isn’t mass-produced home decor or generic framed prints, but it’s not precious gallery art either. Like compound butter, it’s a blend–of forgotten art, modern materials, and distinctive framing–a dialogue with artists from many different places, mediums, and moments in time.
Life is short, and your walls are waiting–let’s mix in some good stuff.
About Me
Hi! I’m Jana, a Brooklyn-based documentary artist and writer. I love people, and I’ve had the joy of interviewing hundreds of them about some of the happiest, saddest, and most complex moments of their lives.
I also love people’s stuff, which has led me to spend hundreds of hours in thrift stores flipping through music, art, and poetry books. From a young age, this exposed me to artists I never would have learned about in school.
When I moved to Brooklyn in 2024, I started framing some of my favorite thrift finds–a hobby that grew into Clutterbutter. I hope you find it easy and inspiring to be here. Follow along to see new pieces added monthly and collaborations with artists in Brooklyn and beyond.
