French artist Odilon Redon was renowned for his dreamlike, imaginative works that explore the boundary between reality and the subconscious. Often using subtle color harmonies, Redon transformed ordinary subjects into poetic visions imbued with emotion and spirituality.
His floral wall art titled Flowers: Poppies and Daisies exemplifies this approach–portraying the blossoms with luminous color, soft forms, and a meditative, almost otherworldly quality. The composition of this oil on cardboard painting tips slightly into the abstract, drawing the eye but then directing viewers back into their own imaginations. This French art print would be excellent hung in an entryway or as part of a vintage-inspired gallery wall.
