Félix Vallotton – Jura Mountains Landscape

Swiss artist Félix Vallotton created this oil painting, along with over thirty other pieces of landscape wall art (later coined his "decorative landscapes"), in a single summer visit to his hometown of Lausanne with his close friend and fellow artist Édouard Vuillard.

In this Swiss art print, Valloton stacks rich blues and greens in dense, small-format layers that create the feeling of hills hugging trees and mountains shrugging into sky. Landscape in the Jura Mountains near Romanel would be gorgeous either hung on its own or surrounded by additional blue and green wall decor objects from this peaceful color palette.
