Canadian artist Arthur Heming earned his reputation as a “chronicler of the North,” travelling deep into Canada’s forests and far-northern wilds to document remote lives that were often overlooked. Diagnosed as colour-blind in childhood, he developed a unique palette of black, yellow and white, infusing his paintings with elemental clarity and atmosphere.
In Postmen of the Wilderness, Heming captures the endurance of mail-carriers traversing frozen lakes and rugged, snow-bound trails. This archival art print offers vintage wall art with substance, bringing the wild frontier into modern homes, seasonal cabins or other interiors of today.
